Özet
The purpose of this study is to examine participants' views about the open online course entitled “How to integrate ICT into classroom practices” developed and taught. The online course is based on current teacher competencies and Tech-PACK model. The course consists of four modules as "ICT Integration to Education”, "Planning for Integration”, "Development for Integration” and “Teaching and Reflection”. This course provided teachers with the opportunity to develop ICT-enhanced lesson plan and apply it in their own classes. The current study was conducted using a descriptive research model. One out of three data collecting tools is “Online Course Participant Information Form” and used to describe the study group. Of the 171 teachers registered, 47 participated and 36 completed the whole course and received certificates. The self-assessment of the 36 teachers through “Technology Impact Checklist” on their ICT-enhanced classroom practices were used for the evaluation of the course. Teacher opinions were also solicited via the “Online Course Evaluation Questionnaire”. According to the results, the self-assessments on ICT-integration were higher in planning and less in practice. Considering the questionnaire, the participants indicate that the objectives of the course were clear, the planned activities and learning materials had positive effect, the course had contribution to integrating technology into the learning-teaching process, and provided enough opportunities to show what they have learned. It can be said the satisfaction of the teachers on the open online course was very high, 97% of the participants emphasized that they would be recommended the course to their colleagues.
