Piperasilin-Tazobaktam ve Vankomisin Antibiyoterapilerinin Birlikte Kullanımının Nefrotoksik Etkilerinin Incelenmesi

Aim of the Study: To assess the risk of acute kidney injury related to the use of piperacillintazobactamcombined with vancomycin, which is an effective regimen for treatment of healthcare associated infections.Materials and Methods: The hospital charts of 402 patients who received piperacillintazobactamalone, vancomycin alone, piperacillin-tazobactam combined with vancomycin,and meropenem combined with vancomycin was evaluated retrospectively in a two-yearperiod from January 1st, 2012 to December 31st, 2013. The patients admitted to the intensivecare units, those with a baseline serum creatinine level higher than 2 mg dL, the patients inhemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis program, pregnant women and, finally, those in septicshock were not included.
