Karahanlı Türkçesinde Duygu Fiilleri
Özet
Emotions describe how events in the outside world affect people's inner world. In order to understand the life of a certain period, the feelings of the people living in that period must also be understood. Emotions are primarily individualistic, but because the outputs of emotions affect people's relationships with other people, emotions can spread wave by wave and affect the general life of society.
Emotions start with thought first, and thoughts and emotions are concepts that affect each other. In order to be able to effectively understand and evaluate the thought system of a culture, the emotion system of that culture also needs to be understood.
In this thesis, in order to contribute to the emergence of the eleventh-century Turkish people's system of emotion and thought, the verbs of emotion described in the works of this period were examined according to their meaning characteristics. The verbs of emotion in the works of Karahanlı Turkish were grouped according to the characteristics of emotions and classified in semantic terms. Emotion verbs classified according to their semantic characteristics were examined in etymological terms and the meaning characteristics of these verbs were evaluated. In addition, metaphors seen in these verbs have also been tried to be revealed.
