ABSTRACT HASAN, Deniz. “The Reflection of the Concept of the Nest on Ceramic Form and Surface”, Master of Fine Arts Artwork’s Report, Ankara, 2019. In this study, the reflection of the nest concept on ceramic forms and surfaces is discussed. The selected forms and surfaces related to the nest are re-examined in a simple and simple manner by combining the properties of clay, the main material of ceramics. In the first chapter of the thesis, the dictionary meaning of the concept of nest, its general meaning and semantic integrity of the concept of nest in nature, the perception of nest according to societies and the Turkish society were tried to be explained and the factors that enabled the nest of a house were expressed. In the second chapter, the relationship between the concept of nest and art objects in ceramic art is emphasized and its historical development, change and its usage in some artistic fields are examined. The existence of objects representing nest and nest in art under the title of nest expression in ceramic art is discussed. The study continued with the approaches that examined the relationship between nest and ceramic art from different angles. The third chapter is divided into personal applications under the title of reflection of the nest concept on ceramic forms and surfaces.
