Sağlıklı Bireylerde Farklı Bilişsel Ek Görevlerin Postural Stabiliteye Etkisinin Araştırılması

Studying dual task provides an important information basic questions about the functional architecture of the brain and whether human cognitive architecture includes a central processor. The aim of this study was evaluate the effects of concurrently different cognitive tasks on postural stability in healthy subjects. Sensory Organization Test using the Computerized Dynamic Posturography and digit span test was performed on 20 healthy subjects, aged 18-32. Cognitive tasks; auditory, visually and auditory-visually presented in the form of easy and difficult forward task and the auditory and visually presented in the form of backward tasks was applied simultaneously with the DOT. DOT scores and cognitive error scores were recorded during rehearsal. Concurrent cognitive tasks DOT scores compared with the basic DOT scores significant reduction were obtained in Conditions (C)1 and C2 (p<.05). There was no significant differences in DOT scores of difficult visual task in C3 and easy auditory-visual task in C4 (p>.05). In other cognitive tasks, DOT scores were obtained significant decrease on C3 and C4 (p<.05). Significant increase of DOT scores was detected for auditory difficulty task on the C5 (p<.05). The same and different difficulty levels in the comparison of pairs scores in cognitive tasks simultaneously with the DOT, DOT scores did not differ significantly (p>.05). During the visual and auditory-visual dual tasks, increase the difficulty of the task, caused a significant increase in the number of errors (p<.05). But for auditory task there was no difference (p>.05). Visual and auditory-visual difficult task compared with the difficult auditory task was found significantly increased of error scores (p<.05). The generated dual task model might be used to evaluating the performance of dual-task with vestibular dysfunction patients and with geriatric subjects.
