Otantik Liderlik ile İş Tatmini Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi: Çalışanların Kişilik Özelliklerinin Düzenleyici Etkisi
Özet
Leadership still remains its importance in literature as a subject that is examined by many researchers in various ways. Authentic leadership, one of the positive leadership approaches, is dealt with in a context that recognizes self-awareness and self-acceptance, respects individuals in decision-making processes, acts accordingly and possesses value judgments. It is known that authentic leadership is a significant influence on the job satisfaction of employees in the literature. However, it is suggested that the relationship between authentic leadership and job satisfaction may be influenced by employee personality traits. It is noteworthy that there are few studies examining the role of the individual's personality in relation to authentic leadership and job satisfaction. In this process, it could be expressed that there is a need for more studies regarding the role of individual's personality. From this point of view, the aim of this study is to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and authentic leadership with three factors of the big five personality traits namely, extroversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism. Participants of the study consisted of 103 people working in the construction and service sectors, 58 of whom were women and 45 were men. In 2017, the data were collected by a questionnaire interviewing face-to-face with the participants. Relational research methods are used in the study. The model of the study was tested using the regression method. As a result of this study, it has been determined that the relationship between authentic leadership and job satisfaction has a moderating effect on extroversion and conscientiousness. However, the moderating role of the dimension of emotional instability was not found statistically significant. It is estimated that the result will contribute to the literature.
