Özet
Places designed today are mostly dependent on the free statement of the individual. The
places designed beside this dependence are getting converted to a fantasy factor instead
focusing on the human experience and focus on the feeling of retinal pleasure more than
required. The place which is evaluated within cartesian and absolute metrical context
redirects the interaction it established with the body to certain feelings, thus challenges
the creative effort of the body and cannot build a permanent memory. The body and the
place are dependent on each other as physical body and the spirit are.As long as the
designer builds these connections well, the body will be able to be an integral part of the
place. Body’s building a permanent memory within this context, in an experimental
place where it actives its inputs such as hearing, feeling and actively uses its physical
body, the technological input redefined the dialog between the body and the place.
Technology has committed a role of control mechanism against the human body, by
emergence of the cybernetic science. But starting from a near future, technology begins
to manipulate the body, hybridizing with it, and even transforming the environments in
which the body exists in physical context. The experiential spaces created by
technology, which is a new environment for the body, have created new place
definitions with a powerful argument like new media art. The body can also travel in
places of mind where it does not exist with its physical existence, and sometimes it can
transform into an information and sometimes into an input. In fact, instead of using
traditional design methods, designers have begun to use even the mental formulas of the
body to create new places. Thus the structure belonging to a building can create its own
new structural context using the complex algorithms of the human brain. Al these
situations have influenced the moods, sensory data, and mind of a body it reflects
against technological places and brought out concepts like multi-sensory place
experience. The body has now been able to recreate, modify and transform a place by
manipulating and getting manipulated by the technology. The body, which has been
stripped of metaphors and metrical definitions in the ancient ages, has become a concept
that can be perceived by the place, thanks to interactive technologies in the experiential
context. Technology-place and body have begun to create a new memory construction
in genetic codes by creating interactive experience environments in the same plane and
with a fluid synergy. In this dissertation study, the moods, sensations and physical
inputs of the body against the place, during its interactive experimental phase, in a
place, which was built with interactive technology shall be evaluated over the physical
inputs of the place. Mental processes that cannot give away the place shall be examined
and the parameters created by the interactive places having hybrid definitions on the
human body within the context of spatial experiment shall be examined on the
experimental group. The lack of estimation of the experiment shall be examined against
the cartesian and mathematical interactive experiment. The subject of question how can
it be possible to convert this technology into a multi-sensational, multi-layered physical
experiment in an observable design environment within an absolute retinal context shall
constitute the main objective of this dissertation .
