METAFOR VE SANAT İLİŞKİSİ BAĞLAMINDA DÖNÜŞÜM KAVRAMI
Özet
When metaphor is considered as thinking and comprehending something in terms of something else, it is understood that people use metaphors while establishing and expressing their world. This is a creative activity. Two different things are combined by capturing a similarity relationship through their own characteristics and a new expression is formed. As a metaphorical way of thinking and producing, art adds its work to this area where the new is formed. Metaphor offers the possibility of the new in the conceptual field, while art offers the possibility of the new in the objective field. These areas are potentials that enable transformation. These potentials are the seeds that maintain hope for utopia. Depending on the conditions of the environment they are in, they may develop organically and flourish, or they may be forgotten and wither away. In this context, the study focuses on the effects of metaphor and art on transformation and the forms of transformation. In the first part the concept of metaphor was examined in terms of language, philosophy and cognitive fields. In the second part, art is discussed in terms of metaphor and exemplified under the titles of concept object and image. In the third part the nature of transformation is evaluated. The possibility of transformation of thought and object has been examined. The last part includes the evaluation of personal ceramic works produced in the context of conceptual work. As a result, during the study process, it was understood that there are many factors that have potential for transformation. As in nature, in order for a balanced and orderly development to occur, the form of transformation must be organic and connected.
