This research focuses on the place of string instruments in symphonic music and the comprehensive examination of various string techniques from the perspective of conducting. Comprising two sections, this study delves into how the performance techniques of string instruments have a significant impact on performance and musical expression. By examining how conductors’ proficient use of these techniques can enrich musical expression, it also addresses the managerial effects of this approach. In addition to defining the basic string techniques, this study includes the historical development process of these techniques and their artistic and sensory impacts on their use in orchestras. It focuses on the evaluation and application of string techniques from the perspective of conducting and their effects. The aim is to draw attention to and clarify original approaches to how high performance of string instruments in symphonic music can be achieved by conductors, students in conducting education, and educators.
