Abstract

Abstract The non-existence of Turkish schools in Germany, the lack or insufficiency of Turkish and Turkish culture lessons, and the activities of Turkish non-governmental organisations, which assume an important role in ensuring the relationship and contact of a Turkish community of more than 3 million people with Turkish and Turkish culture, come to the fore when we consider the citizens of Turkish origin who have become German citizens. When Turkish individuals, who receive the basic interaction of Turkish and Turkish culture from the family, reach school age, it is the Turkish NGOs that maintain their contact with Turkish and Turkish culture. The aim of this research, which is titled "Turkish and Turkish Culture Activities of the German Turkish Federation in the Context of Educational Activities", is to examine the contributions of Turkish and Turkish Culture to the intergenerational communication of Turkish and Turkish Culture of the cultural, artistic and sportive activities organised by the German Turkish Federation, one of the Turkish NGOs operating in Germany, in the context of education in the period 2010-2023. The short name of the Turkish Federation of Germany (ATF), which is affiliated to the Federation of Democratic Idealist Turkish Associations in Germany, in the clubhouses, public halls or open-air areas; Turkish and religious education, folk dances and Turkish music courses, handicraft courses, theatre courses, knowledge competitions, cultural trips to Turkey, cultural festivals, events for national, religious and special days, organisation of competitions known as Turkish ancestral sports, Turkish intelligence game tournaments, conversation programs with examples from the tradition of minstrels and minstrels, cultural festivals where Turkish cuisine is exhibited, information and presentation programs will be examined. The findings to be obtained in this research will show the contributions of the educational activities organised by Turkish NGOs in the example of the Turkish Federation of Germany in the context of educational activities in periods when Turkish and Turkish Culture lessons are lacking or have difficulty in meeting with the society.
