Öğretmenlerin Disiplinlerarası Bakış Açısıyla Araştırma ve Sorgulamaya Dayalı Davranış Amaçlarının İncelenmesi
Özet
The purpose of this study is to examine the interdisciplinary perspective of primary and secondary school teachers who conduct science lessons using the Theory of Planned Behavior and their inquiry-oriented teaching behaviors. In the study, the "Scale of Inquiry and Research from an Interdisciplinary Perspective" developed by the researcher based on the Theory of Planned Behavior was used. In the development phase of the scale, firstly, a detailed literature review was made and open-ended questions based on the Theory of Planned Behavior were prepared. A draft scale was prepared in line with the answers given by the teachers. The final version of the scale was pilot tested after expert opinions were taken and necessary corrections were made. At the end of the pilot application, factor analysis was performed and Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficients of the dimensions and all sub-dimensions of the scale were calculated. The study was conducted with a total of 350 elementary and middle school teachers who teach science courses in Ankara in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. SPSS 23 and AMOS 23 programs were used to analyze the data. The data obtained from the scale were analyzed by structural equation modeling.
As a result of the research, it was determined that "Attitude Towards Behavior" was the most effective in explaining the "Behavioral Intention" of primary and secondary school teachers conducting science lessons, while the effect of "Subjective Norm" and "Perceived Behavioral Control" was low. In the study, the beliefs that constitute the three factors affecting "Behavioral Intention" were also analyzed. People and institutions representing the normative beliefs for the purposes of teaching from an interdisciplinary perspective and inquiry-oriented teaching behaviors: "provincial-district national education directorate", "Ministry of National Education", "school principals" and "other branch teachers".
