This study was designed to examine the relationship between kinesiophobia, pain, independence in daily life activities, and life satisfaction in elderly residents of nursing homes. A total of 125 individuals living in nursing homes participated in our study. To determine the participants' levels of kinesiophobia, the Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale was used. The Geriatric Pain Scale was used to assess pain levels, the Katz Activities of Daily Living Scale to assess levels of independence in daily life activities, and the Life Satisfaction Scale to assess levels of life satisfaction. Statistically significant correlations were found between the participants' levels of kinesiophobia and pain levels (r=0.827, p=0.000). A statistically significant negative correlation was also observed between the participants' levels of kinesiophobia and their level of independence in daily life activities (r=-0.793, p=0.000). Furthermore, a statistically significant negative correlation was found between the participants' levels of kinesiophobia and their level of life satisfaction (r=-0.782, p=0.000). According to the results of this study, which examined the relationship between kinesiophobia, pain, independence in daily life activities and life satisfaction in individuals living in nursing homes, it is considered important to take these parameters into account assessments of individuals residing in nursing homes.
