Mogan Gölü’nün CO2 Salınımı ile İklim Değişikliğine Etkisinin Araştırılması
Özet
When the effect of anthropogenic applications is in consideration, eutrophication and the emission of greenhouse gases are highly distinctive environmental issues that stand out. The water quality of a receiving body is deteriorated when industrial and domestic wastewaters are released to natural water bodies uncontrolled, and this causes eutrophication of natural waters.
Even though, the usage of fossil fuels is the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions, some recent studies have revealed that eutrophic water bodies have a non-negligible contribution to the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere.
The research area in this thesis, Mogan Lake, due to its ecological features, is a highly preferred research area among the universities in the city, besides being a very popular recreation area in Ankara.
In the scope of this thesis, in the light of all the previous studies, the trophic status of Mogan Lake for spring, summer and autumn of year 2023 has been determined. In addition to the prior studies, the effect of seasonal changes and different eutrophication levels on the amount of CO2 emitted have been investigated.
