Özet
This thesis aims to discuss the impact of public-private partnership investments, which have become increasingly widespread in the last thirty years to meet infrastructure needs, on economic growth from an institutional framework. Public-private partnerships are considered to be an extension of the neoliberalisation process in the post-1980 period. Accordingly, in the theoretical part of the thesis, the relationship between public-private partnerships and institutionalism is discussed within the framework of the concept of governance that gained legitimacy in this process. In the practical part of the thesis, the role of institutional development in the impact of public-private partnership investments on economic growth is analysed using system GMM and pooled least squares method. In the analysis, data of 82 countries covering the years 2002-2019 were used. According to the results obtained, institutional development plays a positive and important role in the effect of public-private partnership investments on economic growth.
