Özet
In this study, the relationship between socio-cultural structure and socio-economic structure and entrepreneurship in Turkey is discussed based on the Turkish sociology literature. At the end of the study, it is aimed to organize the opinions and evaluations that present a scattered view on the phenomenon of entrepreneurship in Turkey. In this way, it is aimed to create a reference source about entrepreneurship as a sociologically ignored phenomenon in Turkey and to determine the main sociological facts in relation with entrepreneurship in Turkish society. In this direction, the views of 10 Turkish sociologists, who were selected to cover the periodic distribution in the Turkish sociology literature and represent the sociological differences of opinion, on the phenomenon of entrepreneurship were examined, and after this examination, the common themes about the entrepreneurship phenomenon in Turkish sociology were determined. Then, based on these common themes, the current state of entrepreneurship in Turkey was evaluated by supporting it with some statistical data. As a result of the study, it has been seen that the central position of the state in social and economic fields is considered as the dominant factor when it comes to the phenomenon of entrepreneurship in Turkey, and it has been argued that the problem in the context of entrepreneurship in Turkey is not caused by individuals, but by a series of social/institutional/structural factors.
