Sanatsal İmgenin Mikroskobik Görüntüler Üzerinden İncelenmesi
Özet
At the center of the study, the concept of image is expressed through images taken under a microscope, and the concept of culture from the past to the present, as well as the study of science and art, is carried out. In addition to the visible sides of living things, it is to capture a timbre by moving their micro-sized forms and features to the macro dimension with art. With this timbre, an attempt has been made to size up our perception of reality by questioning the ability to lead to an awareness of the existence of our existence, the invisible.
In this study, the relations and interactions between art and science are examined in the context of artistic image with a certain theoretical framework, and within the scope of microbiology, the transformation of science into art and the image created by the micro- and macro interaction of this transformation are Deciphered.
In the first chapter, in the light of the theoretical analysis carried out on the concepts of culture and image, the progress of the era and scientific developments, it is explained that an objective field in science and a new field of expression in art have been formed. What is mentioned as a new field of expression is that artists use microbiology to perceive and understand micro-creatures that are invisible through a microscope in the interaction of science and art.
In the second part, the advances in science along with the development of technology and the invention of the microscope are mentioned. By making the invisible visible and the unknown known, the microscope has revealed that humans share the world with billions of life forms that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. In this section, the relationship between the micro and macro cosmos is Deciphered and discussed through microbial art. Micro-creatures that are so involved in life have also influenced artists and created new areas of expression in different disciplines in the field of art.
In the third section, representative examples made in the fields of art such as ceramics, sculpture, installation, photography, video and performance were examined. Artists have used the microscope in their works both as an interactive tool and directly as an art object. In addition, some artists have realized their works directly using the micro-creature itself, while others have realized their works by transferring their formal structure to different materials in different disciplines.
In the fourth section, the use of microorganisms as art objects through a microscope is given. This transformation is also a creation, and this creation takes place in the context of the artistic image. With the aim of observing the smallest size of living beings with microscopic images, evaluating their existence and interpreting them, it has been discussed through topography in the context of micro and macro. In this way, it is aimed to bring a new dimension to the perception of reality by revealing what is invisible.
The results obtained through theoretical and artistic research were moved to a new dimension and a new place through art studies, so a new image was wanted to be created. This new image is not to use its visible real forms one-on-one, but to create an image with its formal structures. With art applications, it is aimed to transfer the forms and characteristics of living beings in the micro dimension that are invisible to the naked eye to the macro dimension and to a new time. Thus, questioning is provided with an alienation effect by prompting rethinking through the visible and invisible. Although this inquiry is considered independent of each other, it conveys our heterogeneous existence, which is so dependent.
