Mikro-Fiber Yapılar Kullanan Tırmanan Robotun Tasarımı, Optimizasyonu ve Üretimi
Abstract
This work is prepared with the support of TÜBİTAK Project named “Designing and
Manufacturing of Energy Efficient Various-Surface Climbing Robots Utilizing
Micro-Fibers for Surveillance, Inspection, and Security Purposes” with the code
number “110E186”. Robots have been used for many years in industrial
applications and daily life and their penetration is being increased every day. Main
reasons people use robots are; increasing health safety of people and ability of
robots finishing any given duty without any flaw. Climbing and executing a given
duty can be done effortlessly and efficiently by climbing robots.
In recent years, there has been many study and improvement in climbing robots.
Thus, climbing robots are used actively in many missions. Climbing robots are
being used in nuclear facilities, on planes, buildings, pipelines etc. for inspection,
surveillance, maintenance and repair.
In this work, climbing robot design is optimized according to components it used
and ratio between adhesion and robot size. Climbing tests are examined if
performance levels are met. Further studies are done to increase climbing safety
and performance.
