Poli(Bütilenadipat-Ko-Tereftalat) (Pbat) Bazlı Doku İskeleleri: Sentez, Karakterizasyon ve Osteoblastik Aktivite
Abstract
The aim of the present study is to investigate the potential of an aliphatic-aromatic copolyester PBAT as an alternative biomaterial for bone tissue engineering applications. To this end, 2D and 3D PBAT scaffolds were fabricated via different methods. Fabricated scaffolds were characterized and their cell promotion were investigated via cell culture studies. At the second part of the study, hydroxyapatite (HAp) and boron containing hydroxyapatite (B-HAp) particles were added into PBAT scaffolds in order to enhance osteoinductive effect. According to the results of the characterizations and cell culture studies, it was observed that PBAT has adequate properties for bone regeneration and promotes cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. PBAT scaffolds can be used as an alternative biomaterial for bone tissue engineering applications particularly with the incorporation of materials like B-HAp.
