In this study, critique of Orhan Koçak, who developed a poetry theory about the poet's attempt to create himself against his predecessor by using the Harold Bloom’s concept of the anxiety of influence, Bahisleri Yükseltmek- Turgut Uyar Şiirinde Kendini Yaratma Deneyimi is discussed. In order to determine the basis of the relevant discussion, Harold Bloom’s conceptualization of the poet’s anxiety against his predecessor in a strong tradition, the offerings of poetry theory in the context of tradition building, and the anxiety of influence of critique against critique and poetry is questioned. In a tradition that has weakened due to the model shift in our literature, Turgut Uyar’s poetry/subject identification and the need reinvention anxiety against himself in the absence of predecessor is problematized. Within the scope of this study, Orhan Koçak’s critique is opened to discussion with the critic’s own tools and contextual-temporal clinamen in the concept map. Furthermore, Koçak’s experience of creating himself and creating Turgut Uyar in his concept map and his critique against Turgut Uyar's poetry is also scrutinized. In the study, it is seen that Koçak, who anticipates the context of tradition is weak, transformed Bloom’s theory into a more effective method by reducing his six revision categories to three cycles and developed unique perspectives on Uyar’s poetry.
