Muharip Uçaklarda Kullanılan Radar Görüntüleme Yöntemlerinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
In fighter aircrafts; duties such as platform s navigation, detection, tracking, targeting, marking and weapon engagement are succeded with the help of data that comes from fire control radars located at plane. Unlike the most of the radars, these fire control radars give a chance for ground imaging. So, aircraft-pilot can generate an image of the ground irrespective of electro-optic sensors at not only during daylight but also in night with the help of electromagnetic radar waves. Besides this generated map can be used for supporting the weapon functions of aircraft.Ground images of scanned areas are generated by some algorithm processes of data that come from radar antennas. Different modes are used to generate images. In one hand, radar antenna has to change its aspect angle in a definite interval mechanically to compose ground images by using some modes, on the other hand, for some modes radar antenna has to be stable, thus its aspect does not alter.
