Due to physiological changes in pregnancy, we need to define the normal reference ranges of laboratory values which are important for defining pathological conditions. Our research was carried out to determine the reference ranges for full blood count parameters, coagulation and fibrinolysis parameters, kidney function tests, and liver function tests in healthy pregnancies in our population. The data was collected from 152 healthy pregnancy files applied to the Hacettepe University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Overall, Hb, Hct, PLT, BUN, ALT, and total protein values decreased for the third trimester while an increase in WBC, Na, ALP values were observed for the third trimester (p<0.05). An increase in the mean values of fibrinogen, D-dimer, ATIII, Prot C, and Prot S for the third trimester was observed, while a decrease in INR was observed (p<0.05). An increase in the aPTT mean value was detected in the second trimester, and this increase in the second trimester was statistically significant compared to the values in the other trimesters.
Reference ranges of all values for trimesters are also given. Our studies show normal values of healthy pregnancies that can be used clinically for all three trimesters.
