Taşkın Tehlikesinin Belirlenmesi Amacı ile Otomatik Yağış Miktarı Ölçüm Sisteminin Geliştirilmesi
Abstract
Flood is one of the most important and destructive naturally occuring disaster. Floods, which occur meteorologically, geomorphologically or by human interference, cause innumerable loss of life and property and furthermore result in considerable serious impact on the environment and economy. In order to prevent flood hazard and mitigation of damages, which will occur in future, the most important work is to set up of flood forecasting and early warning systems.
Reducing material and moral damages is aimed by priorly forecasting floods by using modeling and flood forecasting & early warning systems. Earth observation systems, satellite systems and radars are the basic information sources of this warning system. By comparing rainfall data from each of these systems, better qualified early warning system will be created with more robust and reliable data. For this reason, it is important that data gained from earth observation systems, which constitute a part of the early warning system, must be accurate and reliable.
