With the complete domination of Cyprus by the Ottoman Empire in 1571, a Turkish population began to form on the island. However, as a result of the Ottoman State's transfer of the administration of the Island to England for various reasons in 1878, the aggressive attempts of the Greek community to unite the Island with Greece, namely Enosis, accelerated. The peace of the Turkish Cypriot community on the island decreases day by day, the welfare level decreases, the population balance changes in favor of the Greek community and its existence is in danger. In response to the Enosis activities of the Greek community leadership, the violence of which is increasing day by day, the Turkish Cypriot community struggles for existence from 1878 to December 21, 1963, when intercommunal conflicts began on the Island. EOKA begins the island-wide terror movements on April 1, 1955, in order to eliminate the Turkish presence on the island of Cyprus. The Turkish Cypriot community also engages in an all-out social resistance movement in order to protect its life, property and existence. Since 1955, some self-defense or resistance formations are formed. In this study, Turkish Cypriot sports clubs, which are considered to have played an important role in these formations and organizational activities, between the years 1955-63 were examined. The review was limited to the years 1955-1963, when the Turkish Cypriot community carried out self-defense organization activities against the EOKA threat, and to Turkish sports clubs. In order to make the study more understandable, first of all, the development history of the Cyprus Problem and the development of sports on the Island were briefly presented, and in order to ensure the originality of the study, large-scale interviews were conducted with the living people of the period, and the role of sports clubs in the organizational activity was revealed with all its reality from the perspective of the living actors of the period.
