Riskli Bebeklerde Farklı Nöromotor Değerlendirmeler Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between different neuromotor assessments applied at corrected 3 - 5 months of risky infants born preterm. Our study included 95 premature infants aged 3 - 5 months (13,70±1,71) (birth week: 33,74±2,57 weeks, birth weight: 2176,73±649,29 grams) who were refered to Hacettepe University Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Development and Early Rehabilitation Unit. After the demographic and clinical information (story, risk factors) of the infants were obtained, evaluation methods of Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE), Bayley Infant and Child Development Evaluation Scale - III (Bayley - III) and Prechtl General Movements Assessment (GMA) were applied. The correlation of the obtained data was analyzed with Spearmen Correlation Analysis in SPSS 20.00 program. Between the sub-sections of the HINE assessment methods which cranial function, movement, tone with Bayley Cognitive, Bayley Language and Bayley Motor Compound; between the sub-sections of the HINE assessment methods which posture and reflex/reaction with Bayley Cognitive and Bayley Motor Compound; between Hammersmith Total score with Bayley Cognitive, Language and Motor Compound are statistically significant correlation was found. (p < 0,05) No correlation was found between the GMA evaluation method wiht the HINE and Bayley – III evaluation method. (p > 0,05). Since each evaluation method includes different measurements, more effective treatment methods should be created with integrating evaluation methods of high predictive value when possible. An accurate assessment in the early period will guide early intervention. The use of HINE assessment method should be expanded in clinics, premature babies found at risk should be included in early intervention programs.
