One of the many studies that have been a source for the history of classical Turkish literature is the tezkires. Tezkires reflect the lives of the poets they contain in an artistic and prose style, as well as presenting sample sections from the poems of that poets. Today, most of the tezkires have been transferred from the old text to the new text. One of them is Ali Emiri's tezkire named Shkodra Province ʿOttoman Poets. In his tezkire, Ali Emirî talks about the poets in the Shkodra province of Albania, which is in the 'Ottoman lands. The work, which is limited to the province of Shkodra, is a source in terms of the literary and social history of this region. While Tezkire was serialized in the İkdam newspaper, it was left unfinished due to the political events of that period. In order for the above-mentioned tezkire to be better understood by today's readers and to contribute to the study of literary history, the semantic world of the words and phrases in the work will be examined within the scope of the TEBDİZ (Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary of History and Literary Texts) project. With the contextual index to be prepared in the dictionary format, the world of words of Ali Emirî as a tezkire writer will be revealed and his contributions to the vocabulary of Divan literature through this tezkire will be evaluated.
