Abstract

Connecting systems is heading the list of most important subjects in Office furniture. Although there are various usage of many different systems, each system adds value and different style to the Office furniture, used in.In this thesis, these systems was primarily discussed and explained. An intensive study on efficiency in design, functionality of the manufactured product, conformity to DIN norms, usability, import and export conditions and sales and marketing effects of these systems was made.Following the explanation of connecting systems, a survey with total of 73 companies in small, medium, big and micro scales, was conducted and results of this survey is paraphrased.The results brought up the importance of connecting systems used in Office furniture, today and in the future.
