Abstract

SANART Association was founded in 1991 as SANART 1992 Association, renamed SANART Association for the Promotion of Visual Arts in 1995 and has been working under the name SANART Association of Aesthetic and Visual Culture since 2001. In the first years of its establishment, the association aimed to beautify their place with art and to create a more livable environment. SANART has organized public art projects, international symposiums and exhibitions related to these symposiums over the years for its aims. Association has added international and national aesthetic congresses to its series of events as a result of membership in The International Association of Aesthetics in 2001. SANART, an association based in Ankara, has brought together researchers, artists and art works in Ankara over the years through symposiums and congresses representing the theoretical field and exhibitions and other art events representing the practical field. Within the scope of the thesis, the period of SANART between the years 1991-2021 and the transformations of the association during this period are focused. In the thirty-year period, SANART's projects, art events and academic events have been researched and the information obtained has been compiled and presented. In addition to documenting the thirty-year period of SANART, it is aimed to reveal the impact and importance of the activities organized by the association in the Ankara art environment.
