Air defense of critical facilities is carried out with existing point air defense systems. Location of these systems is of great importance in terms of defense efficiency. The scope of this study is the optimal deployment of a certain number (three systems) of short-range air defense systems within a certain region by considering three criteria (coverage, hit probability, logistics network distance). The positioning of these systems in the continuous area has been made for the situation at a certain time, considering the limitations of capacity, weapon type, range and principle. Due to the long solution time and the high number of solutions, reference based genetic algorithm was used. In addition, a heuristic algorithm has been developed for a certain coverage value to speed up the problem solution. It has been seen that the developed algorithm is compatible with the genetic algorithm results.
