Özet
The aim of this research is to disclose the extent of and the purpose of the use of information technology and information systems in social work practice by social welfare professionals, to determine information technology and information systems related problems, to evaluate the efficiency of what they use and to receive their expectations and suggestions about information technologies and information systems in social work practice. The researcher conducted this research with social welfare professionals of social welfare organizations in Ankara. Quantitative research method is adopted in this research and the data gathered with a questionnaire was evaluated afterwards. Many social welfare professionals use YBS, SOYBİS and BÜTÜNLEŞİK systems and they encounter several problems while using them. The social welfare professionals suggestions must be taken into consideration to make adjustments required in current information systems.
