Binyıl Kalkınma Hedefleri ve Yoksul Odaklı Büyüme: Yükselen Ekonomiler Üzerine Ampirik Bir Analiz
Özet
Millennium Development Goals covering 60 indicators related to a wide spectrum of issues such as poverty reduction, health, education, gender equality and environment which have an impact on prosperity of people are the most broadly defined development and fighting with poverty indicators at both global and country level. In this study, poverty and development terms are analyzed by using not only monetary (per capita income) but also non-monetary indicators within a multi-dimensional perspective of Millennium Development Goals and Pro-Poor Growth. The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the existence of a correlation among the economic growth, income distribution, poverty and development indicators as well as to demonstrate that development is a multidimensional concept including monetary and non-monetary indicators.
