This study aims to try to determine the appearances and distributions of the solicitation act in award-winning children's novels. For this purpose, 11 children's novels that won the first prize in the competitions organized by Tudem Publishing and Gülten Dayıoğlu Children and Youth Foundation (GDÇGV) were examined. The findings are that Blum-Kulka and Olshtein (1984) divide the solicitation statement into three main strategy categories and nine sub-strategy categories in the Cross-Cultural Speech Act Realization Project (CCSARP), which has been used by many researchers. It was evaluated according to the study. As a result of this evaluation, 700 requests from 11 award-winning children's novels were identified. Direct level, 59.43% with 416 usage; conventionally indirect level, with 266 uses, 38.00%; it has been determined that nonconventional indirect level has a ratio of 2.57% with 18 uses. According to Blum-Kulka and Olshtein (1984), the pleading verdicts were re-contextualized according to the age group of the speaker and the listener, their social status and the gender of the speaker, and tried to be described with examples. The data regarding the plea act through these categories were interpreted and discussed.
