Abstract

The notion of violence, one of the leading issues in societal living with its seriousness and its debth, has also been the subject matter of art throughout centuries.As it serves different purposes in various ways in art history, this notion of violence has emerged as a central issue in the works of artists in a critical manner towards the end of 18th century and it is criticized profoundly by the today s art world.As a central focus of art in various era and full of meaning, the human face is a medium carrying a full spectra of conflicts and suffering of the human existence. The ubiquitous question of what real human face is has been a topic of debate in all cultures. Human face has again been an active intellectual topic in today s art circles. Being the main focus of various art work in the so-called applied field of The Plastic Face of Violence , human face emerges as a medium of expression for many contemporary artists.
