Özet
Artistic approaches which exist in the historical process has been changed within their century s dynamics. We have witnessed an adventure of evaluation from modernism to post modernism in this century. One of the changing attitudes in art is replaced grand narratives with minor issues and individual mythology. For many years, by helping of the new world structure and globalism, the art history is written for the west has embraced narratives of the others. Individual Mythologies in the continuum of art history are analyzed in the thesis which is entitled Me, Memory: Image . Although after the 90 s, views on art in Turkey is conveyed to personal narratives, it is connected to major narratives with political discourses as identity, gender, ethnicity. Thus, Middle East and Balkans where Turkey is in too, is problematized the phenomenon of identity along with an increasingly unrestful esthetic and seeking for a new style (language) in art.
