Özet
This Thesis of Masters in Art has emerged as a result of the relation between identity politics and art, which was chosen as the main subject for the period of masters in art and of the reading done in parallel with my artworks. In this study, the concept of identity and its relation with violence has been analyzed with the point of view on the relation between art and politics. The alternation between modernism and post-modernism, colonialism and globalization occured in the Western World and its reflections on the concept of identity, the origins of the official ideology in Turkey and its point of view about the concept of identity have been mentioned.
