The aim of academic libraries is to support education, research and development activities while developing services in line with the goals of the institution. Libraries need to be evaluated in order to improve their services in line with user needs and expectations. Evaluation of library services is more important, especially for special user groups such as international students. The fact that international students cannot benefit from library services due to their differences indicates that the services are problematic. Evaluation of services for international students, identifying problems, offering solutions, developing services if necessary and the sustainability of this process are important for user satisfaction.
This study carried out in order to determine the satisfaction levels of the library services for international students enrolled in faculties in the 2016-2017 academic year and enrolled in master and doctorate programs in the 2019-2020 academic year in the Beytepe Campus and to determine which aspects of the services for international students should be improved. Within the scope of the research, a survey was applied to 213 undergraduate and 107 graduate students to evaluate the library services in 5 dimensions: general services, library as a place, information access, personnel and special services. The stratified random sampling method was used in the study. The research findings show that there is a difference in the service evaluation of the students according to nationality. The findings of the research show that there are differences according to nationality in the service evaluations of students in 5 dimensions. It has been determined that students find different services successful and unsuccessful according to their nationality. The frequency of visiting the library, the frequency of use of academic resources, education time at Hacettepe University, residence time in Turkey and receive advance information about the library was observed to have an impact on the assessment of such factors as library services. Undergraduate and graduate students evaluated the library services differently. Students' different evaluations about services show that their needs and expectations are different from those offered by the library.
