Çağdaş Yazıtlar: Yazı-Form İlişkisi
Abstract
Text and form mostly appears as the representation of different fields: Throughout the history, the textual representation in the field of literature and formal representation in the field of visual arts comes together only in phenomenal examples. Inscriptions can be considered as the early examples of such cooperation between text and form. When Western-European art were structured around the idea of ocularcentrism, the inscriptions began to disappear; and, the relationship between text and form became problematic. The solid still boundaries between text and form started to be dissolved by the 20th century. The avand-garde art movements in the early 20th century radically recall the usage of text within the field of visual representation.
