Çift Eksende Mikrokontrollü Güneş İzleme Sistemi
Abstract
In this thesis,a microcontrolled, dual-axis solar tracking system (2emGis) designed, developed and used to obtain experimental measurements for Ankara with the help of astronomical data. 5W photovoltaic (PV) modules mounted on designed solar tracking system in two-axis with microcontroller (2emGis) and on a stationary system which is positioned with optimum tilt angle. Instantaneous power and cumulative energy production values recorded for both PV modules, every two and a half minute interval for a year period. Both systems have been placed in Hacettepe University Beytepe campus YETAM garden, and controlled and logged under identical conditions with the help of programmed web cameras to take pictures. Stationary PV and 2emGis system monitored under different climatic conditions and their production data has been compared with each other. Regarding to collected data, 50% daily production increase is possible for on a sunny summer day, and 37.4% yearly production increase observed.
