This research was planned to adapt the Executive Function Performance Test (EFPT), which evaluates the executive functions of individuals, to Turkish and to examine the validity and reliability of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. A total of 131 individuals, 26 healthy and 105 individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, were included in the study. The translation was carried out according to the described by Beaton. Turkish translation of the test was made. Afterwards, the necessary cultural adaptations were made by the expert team by translating it into English by the expert team whose native language is English. The evaluation form was applied to an individual diagnosed with 10 schizophrenia. During the application, there was no problem in applying the test with Turkish culture. Validity of YİPT was tested with construct validity; reliability was tested with internal consistency methods. A statistically significant difference was found between healthy and schizophrenic individuals between the EFPT total scores, sub executive function total scores, and sub activity scores (P<0,05). When the relationship between EFPT and Trail Making Test in a similar structure was examined in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, it was found that there was a significant and "medium level" relationship (p<0,01, r1=0,588, r2=0,608). The internal consistency is quite high (Cronbach’s α = 0,827) for EFPT. As a result, the Turkish adaptation of EFPT was found to be a valid and reliable measurement tool that can evaluate executive functions in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.
