Abstract

Through technologic developmants, attainableness and speed lead to disruption and disintegration for the today’s human being. Within the scope of this thesis, the feeling of this disruption and disintegration and the process of evolution from truth place to post-truth place are examined expecially emphasising on definiton of the place by reviewing historically the different meanings of the place in art. How the transformation of place into unconscious, which is experiennced and percieved by sense organs and is generated again in mind, is questioned. How place become post-truht places, how this is reflected, changed and questioned at art compositions from past to present and also the concept of post-truth place are analyzed through ideationally and psychologically. This analysing is tried to be presented by art history and art works. To understand the art works presented in this thesis, how psychoanalytic teories which are revealed by psychological researches affect Dada and Surrealism movements is discussed. This discussion is essential in order to understand the subject. Art works in this thesis, the feeling of disruption and disintegration in the today’s human being is described through collage and the evolution from real places to post-truth places is supported by psychological explanations in order to sthrengthen the subject. The importance of place in forming the human’s sense of self and how place is affected by re-creation of place in mind are underlined.
