• On The Monodromy Of Milnor Open Books

Altinok, Selma; Bhupal, Mohan (Scientific Technical Research Council Turkey-Tubitak, 2018)
We present some techniques that can be used to factorize the monodromy of certain Milnor open books. We also describe a class of Milnor open books for which we can explicitly express the monodromy as a product of Dehn twists.

    • One-Dimensional Rings Of Finite Cohen-Macaulay Type

Cimen, N (Elsevier Science Bv, 1998)
Let R be a commutative one-dimensional reduced local Noetherian ring whose integral closure (R) over tilde (in its total quotient ring) is a finitely generated R-module. We settle the last remaining unkown case of the ...
    • Open Book Decompositions and Contact Surgeries

Yıldırım, Yasemin (Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2018)
By Alexander it was shown that an open book decomposition can be found for each closed, oriented 3-manifold. In this thesis, the importance of open book decompositions in terms of contact 3-manifolds will be studied by ...
    • Paracompactness And Full Normality In Ditopological Texture Spaces

Brown, LM; Diker, M (Academic Press Inc, 1998)
In this paper the authors lay the foundation for a theory of dicovers of ditopological texture spaces and use this to define notions of paracompactness and full normality. Some applications to fuzzy topology are also ...

This work consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, the basic properties of useful certain kind of submodules in module and ring theory which are named as essential and complement submodules are given. In the second ...
    • Plain Ditopological Texture Spaces

Tiryaki, Ismail U.; Brown, Lawrence M. (Elsevier Science Bv, 2011)
Using the characterization of plain textures in terms of posets given by Mustafa Demirci (M. Demirci, Textures and C-spaces, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 158 (11) (2007) 1237-1245), the authors consider the important class of ...
    • Polygon Morphing and Its Application in Orebody Modeling

Ilhan, Hacer; Gurcay, Hasmet (Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2012)
Three different polygon morphing methods are examined. The first one is based on the utilization of the trimmed skeleton of the symmetric difference of the source and target polygons as an intermediate polygon. The second ...
    • Primitive Submodules, Co-Semisimple and Regular Modules

Medina-Barcenas, Mauricio; Ozcan, A. Cigdem (Mathematical Soc Rep China, 2018)
In this paper, primitive submodules are defined and various properties of them are investigated. Some characterizations of co-semisimple modules are given and several conditions under which co-semisimple and regular modules ...
    • Pseudo Projective Modules Which are not Quasi Projective and Quivers

D'Este, Gabriella; Tutuncu, Derya Keskin (Mathematical Soc Rep China, 2018)
In this paper we construct pseudo projective modules which are not quasi projective over non-commutative perfect rings. To do it we construct finite dimensional quiver algebras over the field Z(2). The modules which are ...
    • Pure Direct Injectıve Objects in Grothendıeck Categorıes

Yiğit, Aliye (Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2022)
We study generalizations of the concept of direct-injectivity (respectively pure-direct-injectivity) from module categories to abelian categories (respectively Grothendieck categories). We examine for which categories or ...

We study generalizations of the concept of direct-projectivity (respectively pure-direct-projectivity) from module categories to abelian categories (respectively Grothendieck categories). We examine for which categories ...

Devecio, Enes (Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2022-06)
In this thesis, firstly the concept of hyperconvexity in metric spaces is given and then the q-hyperconvexity theory, which is the generalization of the concept of hyperconvexity to T0-quasi-metric spaces, is studied. In ...
    • Qualitative Results on the Dynamics of A Berger Plate with Nonlinear Boundary Damping

Geredeli, Pelin G.; Webster, Justin T. (Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2016)
The dynamics of a (nonlinear) Berger plate in the absence of rotational inertia are considered with inhomogeneous boundary conditions. In our analysis, we consider boundary damping in two scenarios: (i) free plate boundary ...
