Alevli Atomik Absorpsiyon Spektrometrisi Kullanılarak Su Örneklerinde Eser Miktardaki Hg(Iı) İyonlarının Tayini İçin Katılaştırılmış Yüzen Organik Damla İle Ultrason-Destekli Emülsifikasyon Mikroekstraksiyonunun Uygulanması
Abstract
As it is well known, Hg has been identified as a public health problem due to its serious effects and accumulative character in metabolism even at low exposure levels. Therefore, the development of a sensitive and simple method for the determination of trace mercury in water samples is significant. The present study demonstrates a simple, rapid and efficient method for the separation, enrichment and detection of trace amounts of Hg(II) ions in water samples using ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction technique based on solidification of floating organic droplet (USAE-SFOME) prior to flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS).In this method, 1-dodecanol was used as extraction solvent which has a lower density than water, low toxicity, low volatility, and low melting point (22-24 oC). Mercury(II) ion was extracted after ion-pair formation with the water soluble chelating agent Diphenylcarbazone (DPC).
