Yanma Yöntemiyle Tio2 Sentezi, Karakterizasyonu ve Adsorpsiyon Özellikleri
Abstract
In this study, titanium (IV) oxysulfate was used as titanium source, and titanium dioxide was synthesized by solution combustion method. Glycine was set as suitable fuel and the amount of fuel, reaction time and reaction temperature parameters were tested for optimization. Structural properties of the final product were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, and SEM, BET analysis were used to examine the morphology. The results were compared to the commercial products, and it was found out that titanium dioxide with high surface area can be synthesized by solution combustion method successfully. In the second part of the study, adsorption efficiencies of synthesized titanium dioxide samples were tested, removal of Cr(VI) from waste water was carried out. It was found that titanium dioxide obtained via solution combustion method has better capacity for Cr(VI) removal from waste water than commercial titanium dioxide.
