Suyun Katalitik Yükseltgenmesi İçin Demir Oksit-Mangan Oksit Nanokompozitlerinin Hazırlanması ve Karakterizasyonu
Abstract
This project involves the preparation of iron oxide-manganese oxide nanocomposites for chemical water oxidation applications in the presence of (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6. Iron oxide core nanoparticles (magnetite, maghemite or manganese ferrite) were coated with polymorphic manganese oxides (birnessite, hausmannite, cryptomelane) and a series of nanocomposite materials were prepared. The materials were characterized by a variety of chemical physical methods (chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, vibrational spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, morphological analysis, surface properties, magnetometric measurements). The nanocomposites were defined as core-shell structures with average dimensions of 100-120 nm and the shells having the characteristic properties of the manganese oxides (cryptomelane: sticks tunnels; birnessite: layers and hausmannite: cubic).
