Abstract

The subject of this study was formed as a result of “loneliness” experiences. In this study, where loneliness is tried to be defined and analyzed in many aspects, artistic works, which are obtained through personal experiences and examined by the concept of loneliness in the lives of important artists are presented. “Loneliness”, which has been the subject of the works of thinkers, writers, and artists in the past and today, has been tried to be explained with various works examples. Related concepts; loneliness, melancholy, belonging and alienation. Not only in societies where individual life is in the foreground, but also in crowded societies where community life is in the foreground, loneliness can be seen with different examples.
