Argumentation is a process in which students progressively work on a given statement or theorem individually or share their opinions, hypothesis and intuitions in a group with their friends before they prove the given theorem or statement. In the studies carried out, the results which show that argumentation process affects proving process have been obtained, after which possible relationsip(s) between these processes have been investigated into. The researchers have found that there are strong relationships between them and these relationships can be analysed by using Toulmin s model. The results of analyses are really important and useful to determine the problems students face in the proving process and to find a way to solve them.
