The study employed qualitative case study methodology. The participants of the research are four middle school mathematics teachers who agreed to participate in the professional development programme. In this respect, it is aimed that teachers (i) experience mathematics as a learner, (ii) discuss the process regarding area measurement through pedagogical situations, and (iii) develop teaching materials on area measurement and imply them in their classrooms. Teachers participated in total 25 sessions including both pre-pilot and pilot study during one academic year and conducted various classroom/teaching practices.
