This study aimed to determine role of family on attendance of children with special needs and search the effect of attendance on daily activities of children. 112 children with special needs took part in the study whose ages are between 6-15 and average age is 10,14±0,28. 55 of them were girls and 57 of them were boys. To determine the leisure activity level of children, Evaluation Form Of Leisure Activity Attendance was used and to determine the role of families, Form Of Families To Decide Leisure Activities was used. To evaluate children's quality of life, Family Form of The Pediatric Quality of Life Questionniare was used. There was no meaningful relationship between children's activity groups and role of families (p>0,05). When quality of life children participated activities is investigated, difference in sub-categories varied according to types of activities. There is no statistically meaningful relationship between gender and quality of life (p>0,05). The study revealed that children with special needs require recreational activities, sports, self-improvement, skill activities and the need to raise the awareness of families and their children was stressed. It is considered that quality of life will be affected in a positive way by attendence of children to activities.
