Elektrik Stimülasyonunda Kullanılan Farklı Akımların Derinin Biyofiziksel Özellikleri Üzerine Etkisi
Abstract
In this study the effects of various electrical currents for strengthning on biophysical properties of the skin was investigated. The study was carried on 40 healthy subjects in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Phyisical Therapy and Rehabilitation. The investigated biophysical properties, including temperature, transepidermal water loss, pH, hydration and elasticity of the skin, were measured both before and after the electrical stimulation. Faradic current, Russian current and High Voltage Pulsed Galvanic Stimulation were applied on the participants' wrist flexor muscle group on forearm every other day. Each of applied currents caused significant changes in different properties of the skin (p< 0,05).
