Terapötik Abortus Uygulanan Kadınların Abortus Sonrası Anksiyete, Depresyon, Sosyal Destek Düzeylerinin Ve Hemşirelik Bakım Gereksinimlerinin Belirlenmesi
Abstract
This cross sectional decsripitive research was counducted with aim of this study is to determine the anxiety, depression, social support levels and nursing care requirements for women whom therapeutic abortion had been applied. The study was conducted in a university hospital located in the province of Ankara and educational research hospital. 60 women for whom therapeutic abortion had been applied between the dates of March 11 – August, and also who have a 10 to 20 weeks of pregnancy consists the sample of this research. Data collection form, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support were used as a collection tools. Analysis of the data was carried out using the Independent Group "t" Test, Correlation Analysis, Mann-Whitney U Test, One-way analysis of variance to test and the Shapiro-Wilk normality test whether the parameters are normally distributed. According to the research results during the aftercare implementation after the therapeutic abortion, it was detected that the question of the date of the last menstrual period (95.0%), preliminary assessment that they were made (78.3%), the evaluation of vaginal bleeding (60.0%) were applied. The sample women were requested information regarding nursing aftercare applications which are control of pain (45,0%), psychological support during the process (68,3%), the siclus return cycle (73,3 %), prevention of infection in the discharge education and signs of infection (60%). After therapeutic abortion nursing care practices were control of the pain (45.0%), providing psychological support during the process (68.3%), the siclus return cycle (70.0%), prevention of infection in the discharge education and signs of infection (73.3%), have stated that they want to get information about it should apply where the event of complications (60.0%). After therapeutic abortion women's social support scores were determined intermediately. More than half of the women experienced anxiety (%61.7),anxiety score was higher on average (10.8±3.7) and also many women experienced depression (%85), depression score was higher on average (10.4± 3.9). The relationship between anxiety and depression in women with family and friend support was significant (p<0.05). The relationship between anxiety and depression in women with husband support was not significant (p> 0.05). Due to the high level of anxiety and depression in women undergoing therapeutic abortion, support to women psychologically is suggested. After therapeutic abortion, it is suggested that acquaintance of nurses to social systems. Increasing awareness of women regarding the social support systems that enhanced with participation of family, spouse and friends is suggested.
