Özet
Traditions of a population stands at the head of the features which are giving that population an identity and distinguishing it from the others. Traditions gain a distinctive pattern by the interpopulational influences. Traditions are deep habits which are emerging from requirements and are sustained through long ages by applying it. Lots of factors takes role for formation and sustainability of a tradition. On the other hand, traditions that resist to the conditional changes which are compelling it disappears by time. Traditions that strings along with the conditional changes could keep their existence within the population.In this context, Turks have created their specific traditions. Passing from nomadic life to settled life has been very effective in creation of these traditions. Corresponding to the phenomenon of change in the tradition, felt making has born from requirements, reshaped to fulfill societies requirements and used in many areas of life.
